The restoration company that works for you!
Water damage is one of the most common types of property damage that we see in our line of business. Between storms, floods, leaky pipes,
snow melts, sump pump backups and a multitude
of others, there are many reasons your property
may end up affected by extreme water damage.
The most common forms of water damage are:
-
External structural failure
-
Internal appliance and plumbing failure
Let’s look at those in a little more detail.
Water Damage from External Structural Failure
As a result of heavy rains, storm surge, or flood, water can enter the property from outside. Points of access include: window seal failure, foundation cracks, and hose bib failures.
Water and Sewer Damage from Internal Appliance or Plumbing Failure
If the cause of water damage is from inside
the property, the fault usually lies with appliance
failures - such as dishwashers and washing machines.
Leaks from sinks and interior pipes are also common
weaknesses. Add to this sewer-related sources such
as toilet backups and sump pump failure, and water
damage becomes an even more serious situation
which quickly affects more than just the immediate
vicinity of the leak or overflow. If the worst happens,
our water damage restoration team will find deal with both the repair and restoration of your home.
Here's how the water damage repair process works
1. Inspection:
Assign to you a personalized Project Manager who will manage your case from beginning to end, always keeping you in the loop. They will inspect the extent of the damage, identify the source of water loss or ingress, and create a plan of action to get your home back to normal as soon as possible.
2. Water Extraction:
In the event of substantial standing water, our technicians will provide extraction services to rid your property of excess water.
3. Content Manipulation:
Any of your home or business possessions in the area of damage will be strictly cataloged and sorted according to recommended treatments, including those in need of a thorough hygienically safe clean or specialized restoration.
4. Demolition:
If there is permanent damage to any of your
property (e.g. drywall, certain types of flooring, etc.),
our professional team will handle the demolition
and full removal of all affected building materials.
This is usually accompanied with thorough
decontamination and the application of natural
and safe mould preventing disinfectants.
5. Structural Drying:
After all materials are removed, it will give us access to confirm the cause of loss, as well as the ability to fully dry out all affected areas. Our IICRC certified technicians will set up drying equipment in order to efficiently and effectively dry the structure of your property. They will also provide guidance to you in terms of how long to run the drying equipment to ensure maximum success.
6. Water Damage Restoration:
Finally, once we ensure that your property has fully dried and has no chance of mold growth, we will begin the water damage restoration process, getting you back to living your normal life as soon as possible. Our water damage repair team will ensure that every aspect of your property is up to inspection standards and looking as if it had never even seen water.
